My sweet Gracie got sprayed by a skunk this morning. I was still in bed...Rick got up before me and let her outside. EWWWWW, he comes in and so gently tells me...Gracie got sprayed by a skunk.

Of course, I jumped up out of bed and started gathering things together to bathe her. Thankfully my Girl Scout training had me ready for just such an emergency. I got into the pantry and into the box where I keep some of my cleaning supplies. Yep, I had a bottle of this stuff --->
Gracie got a bath. Poor baby doesn't like a bath, but she was so good. She smells better, but the house still has residual skunk scent. I have scrubbed things, I have put towels and other things that were used into the washer with LOTS of vinegar, borax and detergent. They have been washed twice and I think there will be one more washing. I got a tip that the pet store has products that you can wash things in to help remove pet smells. Whatever doesn't come out "skunk free" will be disposed of!
